II/ New lesson: Set the scene: (1’)
Hằng ngày, khi nói chuyện với nhau, chúng thường kể lại rất nhiều sự việc đã xảy ra, và cả việc thuật lại lời nói của người khác. Bài học hôm nay sẽ hướng dẫn các em cách thức tường thuật lại lời nói, câu chuyện hay sự việc đó ( reported speech). 
presentation
- Explain the way to change a sentence from direct speech into reported speech. (10’).
a. Thay ñoåi veà ñaïi töø nhaân xöng vaø tính töø sôû höõu:
thisà that, theseà those, myà his/ her, hereà there, yesterdayà the day before, tomorrowà the next day/the following day, nowà then
b. Luøi laïi moät thì so vôùi caâu tröïc tieáp.
Ex: “ I’ve missed my train”à he said he’d missed his train.
Ex2:” What are you doing here”à He asked what I was doing there.
c. Neáu caâu tröïc tieáp laø caâu hoûi, khi chuyeån sang giaùn tieáp phaûi ñaûo chuû ngöõ ra tröôùc ñoäng töø, vaø ko coøn daáu chaám hoûi nöõa.
Ex: “What is your name?”à He asked me what my name was.
d.Neáu caâu tröïc tieáp laø caâu hoûi yes/ no, thì ta söû duïng if/ whether.
Ex: “ Do you like coffee?”à He asked me if/ whether I liked coffee.
Practice
- have sts do exercises 2,3,4 individually .( 13’)
- give feedback (7’) 
- check.
* Lf3: a. Uncle Hung said that birthday cake was delicious.
b. Miss Nga said that she loved those roses.
c. Cousin Mai said she was having a wonderful time there.
d. Mr Chi said he would go to Hue tomorrow.
e. Mrs Hoa said she might have a new job.
f. Mr Quang said that he had to leave now.
* Lf 4: a. He asked me how old I was.
b. She asked me if my school was near there.
c. Nam asked me what the name of my school was.
d. He asked me if I went to school by bicycle.
e. He asked me which grade I am in.
f. My teacher asked me if I could use a computer.
g. Mr Nam asked my why I wanted that job.
h. John asked me when does my school vacation started.
C/ Consolidation + further practice. (7’)

Does Mrs. Huong still teach you English?
How are you these days?
Yesterday you met a friend of yours, Mary. She spoke a lot. Report some of the things she said/ 
have sts work individually, after that exchange to their partner and write on the handboard.
Check.
 1. Mary said that she wanted to be a teacher of English .
2. She said that her new house was beautiful.
3. She said that she had to come to the meeting the following day.
4. She asked how I was these days.
5. She asked if Mrs. Huong still taught me English.

- review all poins of grammar
- prepare for the test.

sts work in groups of six to find out the right words and match in correct possition.
give feedback and get the right answer.
pay attention to the teacher’s presentation in order to lead in the lesson.
pay attention to the ways to change sentences from direct speech into reported speech.
note at examples and make examples of their own.
practice LF3 and LF4 individually.
exchange to their partner.
get the right answer after the teacher’s correction.
due to the knowledge they have just learned, change the given sentences into reported speech.
write on the handboard and get the right answer.
